I found going up the bell tower in St Thomas church interesting I found out that all of the bricks were hand made by convicts there. in the historical museum we saw a convict that refused to work every and every day he got whipped with a cat of nine tails. soon he got 100 lashes and DIED!

in the maratime museum we learned about Mary Ann Taylor. Mary Ann Taylor was a girl convict who was sent to jail for stealing a teapot that was sixty cents. I think Mary Ann Taylor didn't have enough money to feed her family

The excersion was the best! First we went to the Historical Museum. Here are some things I learnt: I learnt about convicts being poorly treated, the aborigenals , the TV, the clothes and the transport. Then we went to the Maritime Museum. I learnt about different boats, a convict called Mary Ann Taylor, the boat Mermaid, Captain Cook and oysters. Finally we went to St Thomas Church. I then learnt about St Thomas, the marks on bricks, the whole church built by convicts, Captain Roland and a army sergent. The tower was awsome!!
