We placed paper in the sun and then drew a line on the end of the shadow at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. We were planning to do it at 4pm and 5pm but the sundial was in the shade of a building.
This movie summaries all the things we learnt this term on shadows and sundials. We also learnt about the sun, moon and earths rotations.
This week we used a beach ball model of the earth and a light to look at day and night on the earth. We also had a look at Google Maps. Did you know if you zoom out as far as you can go you can see a line on the earth where the sun is rising and setting and it moves.
We also watch the movie from last week again so we could remember how it all worked. Then we drew a plan in our books.

Are venus flytraps animals or plants? They eat meat which makes them carnivorous. If they eat meat doesn't that make them an animal? Leave a comment about reasons for this creature being a plant or an animal. I have included some pictures of different types of venus flytraps.
