Hour of Code

12/5/2014

Get ready St Columba for the HOUR OF CODE. This week we will be enjoying lessons where we learn how to program. For primary students your teacher and the Code Ninja's have your passwords.

Each class has 2 code ninjas who will join you in your rooms. Many have already completed the 20 hours of code or have been members of KodeKlub.

K-2 will be playing Scratch Junior on the iPads.
Year 3-6 all have a log on for code.org you can find your lessons by click on Hour of Code SCAS Access
Year 7-10 will have a chance to complete code.org in Maths classes.

Why are we coding? Learning to code gives you a better understanding of how technology works and what you are able to do with technology. It also teaches logic and problem solving skills.

Goodluck and have fun!!! I hope I see you in my KodeKlub next year.

Regards
Mrs Ebbs
