Have you ever turned your Google Logo into a Pacman screen? Or made the entire screen collapse? Try one of these searches.

An avatar is a picture of yourself that you use to show people who you are online instead of a photo. When you select an avatar it is good if you use the same one so everyone knows who you are. I have had students ask me "how do I make an avatar?" Here are some avatars I have made. Lego Avatar - no logon needed. DoppelMe - the picture in the centre above, no logon needed if you don't save. If you save you need your parents email - do not use the school email if you are in primary. Bitstrips - me in a red dress - you need to be 13+ to use this primary can not use school email. Has anyone ever asked you a question and to answer it you have done a Google search?
Next time you do a search use the website http://lmgtfy.com/ short for "Let me Google that for you". You use the website to do your Google search and then send the link to your friend. When they click the link it will show a screen cast on how to do a Google Search then takes them to the search page. How do you use this tool?
Do you want to know how to track who is viewing your blog? If you use http://flagcounter.com/ you can create code that can be placed on your site by using the tool </> Embed Code. Mine looks like the crazy letters below. Sample Code created by the http://flagcounter.com/ website <a href="http://info.flagcounter.com/cdUH"><img src="http://s01.flagcounter.com/count/cdUH/bg_FFFFFF/txt_000000/border_CCCCCC/columns_2/ maxflags_12/viewers_0/labels_1/pageviews_1/flags_1/" alt="Flag Counter" border="0"></a> Pencilcode.net is a web based browser that lets you control a turtle's movement by changing the code in the left part of the screen. The guide button takes you to lots of premade programs that you can copy and modify to make your own things. Best of all you can save your work without an email address. This program is free for all users and you can browse the files of other people. Make sure you acknowledge other users if you are using their work. If you make any awesome drawings send me a link. Technology keeps getting smaller and smaller. My iPhone replaces almost everything in the picture. Can you guess what each of these objects do? You might need some help from an adult who remembers having one of these items. I love technology it a great way to communicate with friends and makes lots of jobs much easier. Can you find any pictures of things that have been replaced by much smaller technology. |
